Consultant

The Role

Consultants at Ridgeway Partners work closely with one another on the development, execution and completion of leadership search and/or consulting projects. The Consultant will actively identify and develop new business opportunities and play a leadership role in the de a search strategy, generate quality candidates through proactive outreach, and. He/she must be trustworthy and able to exercise discretion with highly sensitive information. They also play an active role in developing and broadening the knowledge base of the firm and the marketplace.

The Director’s responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Strategizing with the Partners on search criteria. 
  • Developing and recruiting qualified candidates, utilizing the company database, cold calling and various search engines on the Internet.
  • Conducting in-depth screening and interviewing of senior level candidates.
  • Preparing candidate write-ups, assessments and evaluations. 
  • Providing status updates on each search.
  • Working with clients to arrange candidate interviews.
  • Conducting candidate references.
  • Attending client pitches and meetings.

The Person

Associate

The Role

Research Analyst

The Role

The Research Analyst will be an active member of the search team. He/she will take on significant responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to the success of each search assignment.

The Research Analyst will work closely with Partners and Consultants at the firm on business development efforts, company and industry research, and search execution/operations. Throughout the course of various assignments, the Research Analyst can expect to gain a high-level perspective on global business, the financial services, technology and fintech industries, and the qualities that are found in successful candidates in today’s competitive talent landscape. Ridgeway encourages personal development and growth within the firm.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Perform industry research, and identify client competitors, industry trends, areas/companies to look at for interesting candidates for specific assignments.
  • Create market maps of relevant candidates and sources for specific searches and broader industries. Identify qualified profiles for specific searches. Research is to be performed across Ridgeway’s internal database as well as external public and nonpublic sources.
  • Help with the synthesis of client needs and the formulation of position descriptions/search strategies/timelines.
  • Constant monitoring of news, trends, candidate movements. Communicate information to keep consultants/partners informed on industry happenings and possible business development opportunities.

The Research Analyst will also be responsible for providing back-up administrative support to the Ridgeway US team on an as-needed bases. Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Assist in the creation of client-facing reports and materials
  • Act as central coordinator for search process and track ongoing progress in database
  • Assist in the management of Ridgeway’s large proprietary database of candidates and sources
  • Coordinate calendars and candidate meetings
  • Other shared office management responsibilities including greeting guests, mail distribution, and general cleanup

The Person

  • Strong technical skills, particularly with regard to research resources, document creation tools, and databases such as Salesforce, Pitchbook, Boardex and eVestment Alliance.

Project Coordinator

The Role

The Project Coordinator (PC) plays a key role in the execution of searches, acting as project manager to drive the search process, enforce best practices and deliver superior service to our clients. The EA performs administrative duties to support one or multiple managers and makes contributions to the firm overall as needed.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist manager in the smooth execution of our search projects. Serve as the search team’s quarterback, ensuring best practices are adhered to, meetings and calls are scheduled and deliverables are sent on time. (30%)
  • Organize complex meeting and travel logistics for one or more partners as well as candidates and clients. (25%)
  • Prepare and proof professional, high-quality reports that are client-ready. (15%)
  • Maintain up-to-date, quality data in our database for all search projects, business development activity and contacts. (15%)
  • Ensure the smooth operation and administration of the office – greet guests, order supplies, coordinate with vendors, etc. (5%)
  • Process expense reports for manager and candidates. (5%)
  • Assist or lead other ad hoc activities such as marketing initiatives, events, and internal projects. (5%)
